Samson Limit Switches

Limit switches issue a signal when an adjusted limit is exceeded or not reached. This signal is suitable for initiating visual or audible alarms as well as pilot valves or other switching units. Moreover, the limit switches can be connected to central control or alarm systems.

Type 4746 Electric or Pneumatic Limit Switch

Application

Limit switches with inductive, electric or pneumatic contacts for attachment to pneumatic or electric control valves, to Type 4763 Electropneumatic Positioners or Type 4765 Pneumatic Positioners Rated travels from 7.5 to 180 mm

Type 4746-x2, Inductive limit switch with non-contact limit pick-up using metal tags and proximity switches (according to EN 60947-5-6) On request with proximity switches with integral output amplifier designed as three-wire switch (no transistor relay required)

Type 3738-50 Electronic Limit Switch with FOUNDATION™ fieldbus Communication.

Versions: 

– Type 3738-20-xxx14xxxxx2xx Electronic Limit Switch with integrated solenoid valve The electronic limit switch with integrated solenoid valve form a compact unit together with a pneumatic actuator, which is easy to mount. The 3/2-way or 5/2-way function of the solenoid valve is selected by changing the position of a molded seal. This version can be mounted directly onto a Pfeiffer Type 31b Rotary Actuator. The need for additional pneumatic connections is eliminated. 

– Type 3738-20-xxx1000xxx200 Electronic Limit Switch for external solenoid valve The electronic limit switch for an external solenoid valve allows switching capacities up to max. 18 W at 24 V DC, meaning all common solenoid valves, even the Ex e versions, can be combined with the electronic limit switch.

Type 3738-50 Electronic Limit Switch With optional solenoid valve With FOUNDATION™ fieldbus communication

Application 

Electronic limit switch for on/off applications to indicate the end position. Optionally with integrated solenoid valve.

Versions:

– Type 3738-50-xxx4x00xxx000 Electronic Limit Switch with integrated solenoid valve The solenoid valve is integrated into the housing of the electronic limit switch. The electronic limit switch and the solenoid valve are powered by the connected FOUNDATION™ fieldbus two-wire cable according to IEC 61158-2. The electronic limit switch can optionally be fitted with a forced venting function. This function is activated when the solenoid valve is de-energized after the power supply is interrupted, causing the actuator to move the control valve to its fail-safe position. 

– Type 3738-50-xxx0x00xxx000 Electronic Limit Switch with external solenoid valve The electronic limit switch and the external solenoid valve are powered by the connected FOUNDATION™ fieldbus twowire cable according to IEC 61158-2.

Type 4744 Electric Limit Switch For hazardous areas

Application 

Limit switch with type of protection II 2G Ex de IIC T6 for attachment to pneumatic control valves according to IEC 60534-6-1

. Type 4744

– Limit switch with one or two momentary-contact limit switches designed as a position switch conforming to EN 50041. 

– Each contact is equipped with one NC contact and one NO contact, acting as a snap

-action switch, which can also be switched as a single pole, double throw switch (SPDT).

Type 4747 Limit Switch

Application 

Limit switch with inductive or electric limit contacts in type of protection Ex d (flameproof enclosure) or Ex ia (intrinsic safety) for attachment to pneumatic linear and rotary actuators according to VDI/VDE 3845

The Type 4747 Limit Switch issues an electric signal when the valve travel exceeds or falls below an adjusted limit. The signal is suitable for switching control signals, issuing visual and audible alarms, or for connection to central control or alarm systems.

Limit Switch Type 3776 

With inductive or electric contacts and solenoid valve for linear actuators or rotary actuators according to VDI/VDE 3845

The Type 3776 Limit Switch issues an electrical signal when an adjusted limit value is exceeded or not reached. The signal is suitable for reversing control signals, generating visual and audible alarms, or for connection to central control and alarm systems. The limit switch can be equipped with a solenoid valve for controlling the monitored actuator.
